Deszkatemplom (Wooden Church)

The original part of the wooden building carrying the style marks of Hungarian secession was built in 1938, based on the designs by Bálint Szeghalmy, an architect from Transylvania. Its tower with pinnacles and a gallery, its steep, shingled roof structure and traditional Transylvanian gate all evoke memories from Transylvania. The church burnt down in 1997 and it was rebuilt in 1999, based on the original design, through the collaboration of Miskolc and all of Hungary.
