Because its relief features, Miskolc is a cross shaped settlement. Public transport takes place mostly in the longitudinal east-west axis, in which tram transport has a significant role.
In the axis of the tram-line and on the parallel relieving road sections also bus-lines are operated. In the north-south axis only bustransport is available.
The axis cross of the trafficis complemented by bus branch lines, connecting the outlying districts along the administrative boundary of Miskolcto the circulation of the city.
